I have been going to the Indiana State Fair for as long as I can remember.  The rides, food, music, animals, concerts, did I mention the FOOD?  And as I recall my annual August trips to the fairgrounds - I also remember riding the FairTrain to get there.  No traffic, no trouble parking and the fun of riding a train all wraps up into one great experience.
I do recall having a little FairTrain anxiety - where do I park?  What if I miss the train - can I catch another ride?  What are the drop-off and pick-up times?  So, below is some invaluable WFMS FairTrain information - please visit  the itm.org for for even more details (and don't forget the 2009 Indiana State Fair is even longer than previous years, so you have from August 7-23 to go).
Tickets - you can buy the tickets at the Fishers Train Station. Â Cost is: Adults $13, Children 2-12 $6, Children 2 and under are free (don't forget to stop by a local Key Bank for discounted tickets. Â Indiana State Fair tickets can be purchased on the train or at the gate!
Pick-up/Drop-off - To get to the Fair, arrive about 30 minutes before departure at the Fishers Train Station, located at 11601 Municipal Drive. Â The train will then drop you off at the Fairgrounds Station (meet back there to get back to Fishers).
Parking - Parking at the Fishers Train Station is free.
