One of my favorite things about Indiana is that the seasons change.  Leaves turn bright shades of orange, red and yellow in the fall; white snow covers the ground in the winter; and the grass turns a vibrant shade of green in the spring.  While I love the changing seasons, I do miss the fun outdoor concerts, farmers markets, park visits of spring, summer and fall.  So, when it gets too cold to do those fun outdoor activities- I eat!  Every week this winter I will highlight 1 of my favorite Hamilton County, Indiana restaurants.  As a foodie (my definition of foodie is simply someone who loves to eat), I will happily talk about the small diners, the "hole in the wall" eateries, the fancy French bistros, the big restaurants and more.  NOW, onto the good stuff - enjoy, and feel free to share your own favorite Hamilton County, Indiana dining spots! Restaurant of the Week - Week 1 [caption id="attachment_1562" align="alignright" width="200" caption="Their famous pork tenderloin"][/caption] Nickel Plate Bar & Grill - Located on the east side of the Fishers Train Station, this local restaurant was renovated in 1991, but still holds much of the 1880's era charm, including brick archways and walls.  There is a full bar, a family dining area and an outdoor patio equipped for every season.  On my first day of working here (December 5, 2005), my fellow staff members went to lunch at the Nickel Plate, where we feasted on chicken fingers dipped in sweet honey mustard.  On subsequent visits, I have tasted the delicious pork tenderloin (which has won several awards), the Nickel Plate Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap - and have yet to be disappointed with my meal.
