As someone who is still relatively new to the Mother's Day world, I know how special I feel when my little guy (with the help of Daddy) gives me a thoughtful, unique gift.  Last week we posted ideas on things to do for Mom this year, and today we are having a fun little Mother's Day Giveaway! In the heart of downtown Westfield is Gallery One 36, a fine art gallery and studio offering classes, one of a kind jewelry, and gorgeous works of art (and was even voted "Best Art Gallery" in Central Indiana on the 2007 WRTV "A" List).  From this wonderful gem, we are giving away a gorgeous handcrafted silver earring set and matching pendant. This gift from the Gallery will surely make a mom of any age feel special. [caption id="attachment_2050" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="The earrings & pendant (photo taken with my cell, sorry for the quality!)"][/caption] How to Win: In the Comments section, please tell me why your mom (or wife, or grandma, or just a mom that is special to you) is important to you.  I will randomly select from the list of comments, please enter only one time. Contest closes on Wednesday, April 28 at 11 a.m. Good luck!

What can I say about my mom. She raised me and my 3 siblings very well despite some steep odds. We lived without power and running water in the hills of Washington state - and were homeschooled. I will not post the sad story about her marriage, but after we grew up she really pulled her life together despite all of the hardships. She went to art school to become a portrait painter (she's very good) and worked hard to get out of debt. Now she lives in her own home and paints, and works as a mail carrier.

My mother is the best. We moved three times between Jr. High and High School and my mom was always there for support when I was dealing with the hard transition of making new friends and being in a new town. To this day, I know I can pickup the phone and she will be there to listen and give her advice. Over the years she has become more than just my mom, she is also one of my closet friends. She is an amazing cook and is constantly attempting to pass that skill onto me (it's an ongoing effort haha). I can only hope to be there for my children someday as much as my mother has been there for me!

Gallery One36 is great! I would love to win this because my Mom is ALWAYS there for me, our family and friends. She always puts herself last no matter what the situation is. Her strength amazes me. I hope that I can be half the Mom that she has been to me. Happy Mother's Day!

My mom is important to me because she is always there for me. No matter what time I call she will always answer. She has taught me that the most valuable gift to give to someone is time. Just spending time with someone is more memeorable than anything.

My mother is amazing, everything a mother should be. Despite being hundreds of miles apart, she is always there to listen, give advice, and be a friend to me which is invaluable as I continue to grow in my own life. I miss her everyday and can't wait to see her every time that we part. Thank you mom, I love you!

My mother is important to me because she is always there to listen, give advice, and be there in any way. She will go out of her way to not only help her daughters, but anyone in the community that needs help. Her specialty is cooking, and pretty much everyone in the small town of Chalmers has enjoyed her homemade jellies and cookies. She is a warm hearted, loving woman.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful my mother is!! She has been supportive throughout every good and bad decision that I have made. Family is the most important piece of my life and I am glad I was blessed with a mother like mine. Thank you Mom!!
