A Grand Opening at the Museum of Miniature Houses

May 03, 2010 by Hamilton County CVB

[caption id="attachment_2067" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Exterior Shot of the new space"][/caption] The Museum of Miniature Houses in Carmel celebrated a grand opening on Sunday, May 2 to showcase the addition of 850 square feet of exhibit space. About 35 people were in attendance, including Mayor James Brainard, for the 2 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony. After the ceremony, the Museum provided tasty food, an acoustic guitar player and wine for their guests.  It was during this time that I was able to explore the new extended exhibit space and the new great pieces of miniature collections.  Many of these detailed, artistic collections have been stored away, but there is now space for them! If you have not been to the Museum, you must visit it. This is a great experience for both children and adults. The museum’s regular hours are Wednesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m. The admission is $4 for adults, $2 for children ages 10 and under and free for museum members. For more information visit MuseumOfMiniatures.org or call 317-575-9466. -Heuila Yang, Tourism Development Intern for the Hamilton County CVB
