If you are always looking for new foods to try, Hamilton County has plenty of local restaurants that can provide your taste buds with the variety they crave! One of the newer restaurants is Divvy, located in the Carmel City Center conveniently close to the Center for the Performing Arts. The owners of Woody's Library Restaurant opened this unique restaurant in hopes that visitors will do as the restaurant's name implies and divvy up the small plate offerings with a group of friends. Recently, two of our staffers at the bureau decided to give Divvy a try.

Judy gave Divvy a try last week before attending a performance at the Palladium:
   Last night before taking in the Bernadette Peters & Michael Feinstein concert at the Palladium, my friend and I stopped in at Divvy to eat. What a great dining experience! We loved the concept of sharing what we ordered. We both started with soup. I ordered the French O'Dumplings which were little dumplings soaked in brandy beef jus topped with melted leeks & broiled cheese. Think French Onion with a new twist- it was outstanding! My friend ordered Roasted Veggie Bisque topped with Balsamic glaze and loved it.
   Our main courses were quinoa cakes topped and chicken nachos. The chicken nachos were comprised of tortillas, melted Monterey Jack, crème fraiche and chipotle pineapple salsa verde. Again we shared with each other and both dishes were outstanding! We decided not to have dessert but they have many different options and after dinner drinks to choose from. I love that fact that people shared their food with each other and they have many different seating arrangements. One table was a long bar that could seat at least 10 or more people! As we were getting ready to leave, our waitress gave us a small box and inside was a morsel of Brownie Bomb, what a great unexpected treat! We will definitely be coming back in the future to share more of what is on their menu! 

After hearing Judy's account of her delicious Divvy sharing experience, Emma ventured out to try Divvy for lunch:
   As a self-proclaimed foodie, I was very excited to dive in to Divvy's modern take on the traditional lunch menu. I was very pleased to find a menu filled with affordable and fun options! Offerings ranged from sandwiches to deep

dish focaccia pizzas. My friend and I decided to skip the divvying and order our own lunch entrees, but after seeing each other's plates, we had to exchange a few bites. 

   My friend ordered the Revisited "BLT" with a side of creamy macaroni salad. While the sandwich didn't actually have any lettuce, it more than made up for this omission by including ingredients like onion cream and melted leeks. I ordered the grilled cheese, but it was no ordinary grilled cheese! American cheese was replaced with creamy Brie and Monterey Jack and the additions of sliced green apples and cran-cherry chutney were excellent. We lacked the restraint that Judy showed when it comes to dessert and ordered smores brulée, which was a great choice. For our parting treat, we received an adorable box of caramel corn. Divvy is a great option for a unique, filling lunch and would make the perfect atmosphere for dinner with friends!
