As winter seems to drag on you may find yourself asking, "What is there to do for fun?" Hamilton County has the exciting event you've been looking for either on the list below or on our Hamilton County event calendar!

1. On Friday, plan to attend the Opening Night Reception for "Connectivity: A Fusion of Elements" in the Fishers Town Hall lobby. This event is one of many installments in the Art in Fishers Town Hall series that is sponsored by the Fishers Art Council and the Town of Fishers. It's a fun way to view local art in an unexpected setting!  

2. To tide over your cravings for a new season of football, take advantage of the Science of Football at Conner Prairie! This special exhibit explores how the pros make the perfect play using physics. 

3. Create a special keepsake at Kiln Creations located on the Historic Noblesville Square. The studio offers pottery and ceramics painting as well as mosaic projects that can turn a boring afternoon into a creative and fun one! They also offer specials, so check their calendar for up to date savings opportunities.  

4. Grab the whole family, a group of friends, or a date and plan a movie night at Hamilton 16 IMAX to catch the latest flick. Or if you'd prefer something more active, Pinheads bowling can provide you with a fun night of strikes! They also have events on the weekends including karaoke and live music. 

5. Get inside to view all of the beauty that nature has to offer! Nature's Inspirations: Art Exhibit at the Cool Creek Nature Center will be on display beginning this Saturday. The exhibit showcases art of various mediums that celebrate the beauty found in nature. 

6. It seems as if there are new businesses being added to the Carmel City Center on a daily basis. If you have not been to check out the local dining and shopping available, you are missing out! Events like the weekly Winter Market are also held in the center.  

7. Not sure how to entertain the little ones? Head to the Monon Community Center in Carmel for indoor winter concerts especially for young children. Ruditoonz and Bobbi Lancaster are next in the line up for these fun shows! 

8. It's never too early to fantasize about golf season in Indiana's Premier Golf Country! The Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau will have information booths at upcoming golf shows like the Chicago Golf Show and the Michigan Golf Show in Novi. Also, two major golf tournaments are coming to Hamilton County this summer! The My Marsh Golf Classic will be held May 28- June 3 at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers and the BMW Championship will be held September 3-9 at Crooked Stick Golf Club.
