Central Park West Commons

Entrance off of 111th Street or College Avenue between 111th and 1116th Streets. Central Park is a 161 acre park with the Monon Greenway running straight through the center. Besides housing the Monon Community Center and The Waterpark, this park boasts over 6 miles of trails that go between prairies, wetlands and woodlands. Each step in this park creates an opportunity to get exercise and connect with different parts of nature. There is a picnic grove with a couple of shelters with grills, picnic tables and waterless restroom facility. For those who enjoy wheels with their recreation, there is a state of the art skate park with plenty of rails, ¼ pipes and even a bowl to grind on, do kick-flip or ollies. For the dog lover, there is a 2 acre dog run on the north side of the park, with picnic shelters and restroom facilities. Coming in summer of 2016, there will be the addition of a playground and splash pad to round out all the areas of fun inside this park.
