Built in 1883, the Monon Depot served as the main transportation and freight hub for Carmel. Now operated as a museum by the Carmel Clay Historical Society, the Depot features railroad artifacts and changing exhibit about local history. Admission is free. Open: April - October, Saturday & Sunday 1 - 4 p.m. The archives is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 am to noon, and by appointment.
