This pass Saturday (September 11, 2010) I did one of my favorite things to do in the early fall- the Carmel Artomobilia. I strolled through the heart of downtown Carmel looking at all the vintage automobiles, and had great fun checking out the at cars that were very popular when I was growing up. The morning started out a little rainy but by early afternoon the sun was out and so were the crowds! I was surrounded by families, and overheard one young father pointing to an older car, and telling his children that their grandparents drove a car like that when they were in their teens. My friend and I laughed because that was a kind of car that we, or our friends, had owned so to hear this father talk made us feel really old! All in all it was great taking a walk down memory lane and to listen to the stories behind some of these cars. Again another free attraction that the Carmel Arts and Design Center had for people to take in, I am already looking forward to the 2011 event. -Judy Erner, Community & Events Manager
