I have been hearing about the new Hamilton County Marketplace, so on Saturday, January 2 - I gathered up some friends to see what the buzz was all about.

We arrived at the 4-H Fairgrounds shortly after the 9 a.m. start time, paid our $1.00 admission fee (each month all admission proceeds will be donated to a different Hamilton County charity). We were pleasantly surprised to find 71 booths with all types of items for sale. I recognized many of the vendors from the summer farmers markets, but there were also vendor from around the state and Midwest.

Some of my group purchased purses, candles, lotions and jewelry, while others in the group bought gourmet mixes and baked goods (which were to die for). The angel food cakes were made from scratch and reminded all of us of our grandmother's cakes. From there we went to lunch at a new restaurant, Gingers Cafe, on the Historic Noblesville Square. Once we finished eating, we spent some time taking in the sites of the Square. This was such a great way to spend a Saturday morning. I'm telling you this Marketplace had something great for everyone so mark your calendar for the next event on Saturday, February 6 from at 9 a.m. 6 p.m. It is the perfect way to spend a cold Saturday! -Judy Erner, Community and Events Manager
