"I have always loved art and painted and drew while growing up. I took some oil painting classes in adult education, but when I had my first watercolor class in New York City I loved it and have been doing watercolor painting ever since. I like to paint anything that strikes my fancy, but it seems that I lean toward land and seascapes. I enjoy painting flowers and boats, but I can paint pets and people as well. I do commission work also. I am excited about the way water and paint mix on paper and I love putting in the dark colors. Recently I have started painting with water based oils and have also been experimenting with yupo paper. Yupo paper is a very slick paper that does not absorb the paint.
I hope anyone who sees my art will enjoy my interpretation of nature and life. For the viewer I would like to evoke feelings of joy, happiness and peace, whether it is through the remembrance of a time, place, person or just the beauty of nature that surrounds us.
I am a member of the Hoosier Salon, a signature member of the Watercolor Society of Indiana, a juried member of the Hamilton County Artist Association as well as an artist/owner of the CCA Gallery in Zionsville."
