Cooking Channel Feature
In Italian, Oca means Goose. And in Indiana, Goose means over a decade of good eats. Oca’s specialties—like slow roasted top round beef, piccante meatballs, house-made salumi and enticing vegetarian plates—earned national airtime with Carmel in the spotlight. Oca’s menu puts a top-shelf twist on hot sandwiches toasted golden brown and bubbly, composed sausage dishes with unique pairings and beautiful mosaics of carefully curated cheese and charcuterie boards.
Behind the scenes, the film crew turned Oca into a Hollywood studio with northside native Chef Chris Eley behind the counter crafting Oca’s specialties from start to finish like a cooking show. Chris demonstrates what sets Oca apart: custom recipes made by hand, from grinding and stuffing sausages to dressing every dish with care.
As the Cooking Channel film crew packed up spotlights and dismantled the custom food photo booth, they couldn’t resist Oca’s tempting menu. The whole crew lined up to order!
