When Midwest Living editor Trevor Meers visited Nickel Plate Arts in Noblesville, Indiana, he said, “The mellow siren song of Nickel Plate Arts in Noblesville nearly derailed our itinerary.” Between the sweet sounds of the local band playing acoustic and the mesmerizing art displays, it’s easy to spend an afternoon or evening exploring all that Nickel Plate Arts has to offer.

About Nickel Plate Arts

Nickel Plate Arts is a nonprofit organization that supports and promotes local art in Hamilton County. While its main campus is in downtown Noblesville, just steps from the Historic Noblesville Square, they coordinate arts experience in Fishers, Cicero, Atlanta, Arcadia and Tipton. The art is approachable and all ages are welcome to experience art in a new way.

What to Expect

When you step inside Nickel Plate Arts, you feel like you’re stepping inside someone’s home. The main room is a gallery space with rotating displays each month, focusing on a different theme. Wander across the patio to the adjacent building where you can interact with artists in their studios to watch them in action, learn more about their craft and purchase a piece of art. The best way to experience Nickel Plate Arts is to wander and see what you discover along the way.

Nickel Plate Arts shines on First Fridays, a monthly arts celebration with libations, live music and the debut of a new art exhibit. It’s the perfect adult date night. But there’s plenty for kids to do, like the annual Comic Book in a Day, stroll the Fairyville Trail and Valentine’s Day for All, along with art camps throughout the year. Check out the art classes for both kids and kids at heart who want to tap into their inner Picasso.
