The Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau recognizes the extraordinary works of the county's hospitality industry through a quarterly hospitality recognition program, called the STAR Award. Ramon Tellez of Four Points by Sheraton Indianapolis Carmel was named in the individual category, while the Old Towne Carmel Bed & Breakfast was honored for the business category. Tellez, the Banquet Captain at the Sheraton, was recognized for his positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to do whatever it takes to guarantee a positive experience for guests. Ramon maintains excellent customer relations by assessing and responding to the constituent needs of our guests. If attitude makes the difference between getting tasks done and making them fun, Ramon is the epitome of great attitude and hard work, say nominators Deana Letko and Amy Guy. The Old Town Carmel Bed & Breakfast, was honored for the exceptional service and dedication they provide to their guests. The Bureau received excellent nominees for the first quarter: Cheryl Jensen, Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel; Kim Henkaline, Kelties Restaurant; Jeff Zeckel, Noblesville Daily Times and Joyce Duval, Conner Prairie. Herbal Arts and the Hamilton Restaurant were the business nominations. Nominations are compiled and awarded each quarter. For the second quarter STAR Award, applications will be accepted through June 10, 2010.
