Deanna Schleeter has been with the Bureau since April 2010 as a Welcome Center staff member. This is her first guest post for the 8 Great Towns blog. Whenever one of the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau employees tries a new restaurant, we are encouraged to write a brief note about it. My husband John and I just had a marvelous lunch at a new restaurant in Arcadia that I'm happy to write about.  [caption id="attachment_3354" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Alice's Restaurant in Arcadia, Indiana"][/caption] While driving along Highway 19 we saw an advertisement for Alice’s Restaurant in Arcadia, so we decided to give it a try. We were amazed when we arrived at Alice’s to find a charming, store-front restaurant. There were lots of tables covered in all white tablecloths in a very large room with lots of sunshine coming through the windows. We were immediately greeted by none other than Alice herself! We got all the scoop on this amazing “old grocery store that has been converted into a fabulous restaurant. And it is just across the street from the Hedgehog Music Showcase too. John and I both enjoyed one of the best fried tenderloins in Hamilton County. This tenderloin was the size of a dinner plate! We had a choice of French fries or fruit as a side.  On Sundays they serve a really nice brunch too. We plan to take some family and friends back to share this amazing new restaurant.
