I initially started looking through the special offers to see what would appeal to my four-year-old. I found several ideas that piqued my interest, so I had to narrow them down and settled on three spots that would make a perfect day for my daughter and her friend.
We started the morning at the Museum of Miniature Houses. The museum's collection contains over 600 miniatures including room boxes, houses and individual items! The girls loved looking at each house and all the intricate details. Since I had two young girls with me, this particular stood out ... I wonder why! In each room I would ask the girls which house was their favorite and it definitely created quite the conversation!
One of my personal favorites was this display (pictured right). You can turn the house all the way around so you could see it from every angle.
After spending a good hour or so looking at all the houses and displays it was time for us to get some lunch. Lucky for us, Ben and Ari's offers a combo deal with Marco's Pizza that is located in the same building. You get a large pizza and a pitcher of soda plus your choice of either 4 rounds of mini golf or 50 game tokens. Now, I love ski ball as much as the next person, but we opted for the mini golf package.
The pizza was a hit (isn't it always with kids?) ...
Even though it was really hot out, mini golf proved to be quite entertaining with a four and five-year-old! We did get one hole in one!
Our final stop of the day was Handel's Homemade Ice Cream and Yogurt. Can I please recommend to you the coconut cream pie? A friend told me about it before I went and I'm sure glad she did. As for the girls ... they had more than they could handle!
Hamilton County Adventure Day was a success! So, here is my challenge to you ... take a look at Hamilton County's Special Offers page and create your own adventure. Catch some savings and have some fun while you're doing it.
