Haunt-o-holics, rejoice! It's finally the month of October, which means there are plenty of spooky ways to get your fright fixes right here in Hamilton County. From history-filled ghost walks to hay rides with headless horsemen, there are plenty of haunted attractions to see this fall!
If you love to get a dose of chills with a history lesson on the side, sign up for a ghost walk with Unseenpress.com. This unique tour company leads ghost walks in Westfield, Noblesville and Indianapolis as well as occasional bus tours. For a full schedule visit their website. As one can imagine, this is a busy month for ghost tours, so reserve your spot today!
For a different type of ghost walk, head to Conner Prairie for a tour of the grounds after dark. Is Conner Prairie really haunted? They'll let you decide! Also not to be missed is the annual scream inducing event- the Headless Horseman. Each weekend beginning on October 12, you'll be able to catch a hayride through the Conner Prairie woods and encounter the horseman himself among other things that go bump in the night!
For another terrifying trek outdoors, try the Haunted Trails at Cool Creek Park on October 23-25. For smaller kiddos (and scaredy-cat adults) there will be non-terrifying activities like a campfire to enjoy. If the indoors is more your style, grab your tickets for Civic Theater's production of The Woman In Black. This spine tingling thriller contains all the elements of a classic ghost story, but it will be brought to life on stage.
If you love a good scare there are clearly several reasons why Hamilton County is the place to be this October!
