Our guest post today is by Andrea Kleymeyer, marketing director for the Indiana Design Center, located at 200 South Rangeline Road in Carmel, Indiana. The Indiana Design Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. While the Indiana Design Center offers design resources for professionals across the map, it also offers a unique experience for the public. The first floor retail showrooms are entirely open to you to browse and buy. And whether you are an avid DIY'er or taking on your first home project, there are well-trained professionals to help you along the way. In fact, the showrooms pride themselves on having knowledgeable and friendly staff that can help clients through each step of the process. Come spend a day garnering ideas, seeing the latest products, comparing the hottest trends with the classics and finding what you love. All are welcome to Discover, Learn and Connect at the IDC! Discover Indiana Design Center has retail showrooms on the first level that feature fine, traditional and contemporary residential and contract furnishings, fabrics, floor coverings, kitchen and bath products, lighting, architectural products, wall coverings, and accessories. These showrooms are open to the public. Inspiration is around every corner at the IDC. Whether it's an accent pillow or a painting that suits your fancy, all great design is inspired by something. Walk through working kitchen displays at Ferguson Kitchen, Bath and Lighting Gallery, stand on a variety tile and flooring options at Jack Laurie Home Floor Designs, test a few mattresses at Holder Mattress and stand in awe of fine art at Coats-Wright Art and Design. Other tenants on the first floor include Drapery Street, Conceptual Kitchens and Millwork, and J. Baker Interiors, with Premier and Santraossa opening in the coming months. Spend awhile browsing the showrooms to find what feels like home to you. Learn The Indiana Design Center is home to numerous design and arts industry events.
