If you’re looking for home décor, you’ll find handcrafted furniture and original art from artists like Susie Gregory. Midland is the kind of place where you can find a large piece to be a focal point of a room or a small collectible that will become a conversation piece for years to come. Fashionistas will want to make their way to the back of the store where we discovered The Garment District. This vendor features beautiful vintage dresses, hats and accessories that make a statement. At Midland, you can also find a pin, necklace or other accessory to make an outfit pop. For example, Siddhi People Jewelry and Adornments features one-of-kind pieces made from beads and semi-precious stones for “the colorfully well intended. Midland has maintained a store in downtown Indianapolis for 15 years, and has been voted Best Antique Store for several years. Its Carmel location, which opened in 2008, caters more towards the design trade and its clientele, but the store is open seven days a week to the public. It is well worth your time. Where are some of your favorite local places to explore indoors?
