Earlier this month, the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau presented the first of of 8 Star Awards for 2011 to Janet Hatmaker, the owner of the Old Picket Fence in Noblesville.
The Old Picket Fence has antiques and vintage items that represent old world craftsmanship. The store also carries newer items that collectors and homeowners want. All the pieces combine to create a blend of comfort and style perfect for collectors and homeowners alike. Janet Hatmaker was selected as a Hamilton County Star for her outstanding customer service as well as for the way she chooses vendors whose items complement one another, while still being unique and visually interesting. Janet and her staff personally greet customers as they enter and exit. She also will work with her vendors to help negotiate price or answer questions from a customer. Janet has been in the antiques business for more than 20 years. The way Janet embraces the past without sacrificing modern customer service is a great example of the kind of service we think you will find throughout Hamilton County, Indiana. The Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau will select 8 stars to represent our 8 Great Towns. To nominate a Star, visit 8GreatTowns.com and scroll down to "Nominate a Tourism Star." Stars will be selected for their customer service and the way they represent the best of Hamilton County.
