Fishers is home to a new bed & breakfast! The Prairie Guest House recently opened and is located right across the street from Conner Prairie in two beautiful historic homes. The new owners, John and Karen Newton, hope to breathe new life to the space by adding extra amenities like a yoga studio. Here is more about the new Prairie Guest House as told by the owner himself:

My wife and I opened the Prairie Guest House on February 8th of this year, on the property formerly known as the Frederick Talbott Inn on Allisonville Road. After years of looking for an opportunity to combine our hospitality business with a yoga studio we finally found the perfect location. After 10 years of Yoga Instruction my wife will have a studio of her own and in addition we increase our hospitality offerings. This unique property will be home to many happy and healthy travelers and yogis. However, you don't have to practice yoga to stay here.

Our vision is fairly simple in that we will provide warm and friendly service to our guests and our community. With clean and comfortable guest rooms, and food from the kitchen that will keep people talking and coming back for more. I am very excited as we are about to break ground on some new gardens for veggies and herbs, so over the next few months those tasty treats we grow here on our ‘farm' will flavor the foods we serve to our guests.

Business travelers will find the Guest House a pleasurable break from the hotel monotony. We know that families as well will enjoy Conner Prairie just across the street and all that they have to offer. As well the Symphony on the Prairie, Klipsch Music Center, and The Center for Performing Arts are all within a very short drive and we extend invitations to all music lovers to stay with us here at the Prairie Guest House.

We prepare cookies & cakes daily so that our guests and visitors can enjoy home cooking from the minute they arrive. Karen and I are always happy to meet new people and give tours of the property so please stop by if you're in the neighborhood and feel free to sample some of our latest baked goods and see the Prairie Guest House!
