Every week this winter we will highlight one of our favorite Hamilton County, Indiana restaurants. We are lucky to have a lot of great food to talk about, from the small diners and the "hole in the wall" eateries to the fancy French bistros and big restaurants and more. NOW, onto this week's foodie pick.

Handel's Ice Cream is one of those places where you can't go wrong. At either the Carmel or the Fishers location, you can keep it simple and go for the classic chocolate or strawberry or you can try one of their more adventurous flavors like Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie or Caramel Pretzel Crunch. A dip of Pumpkin Ripple is in order if you like all things pumpkin this time of year - make it a quart if you want to treat your Thanksgiving guests to something a little different than traditional pumpkin pie. Pumpkin Ripple is just one of their flavors of the month; they have 30+ other flavors in season right now, too! Ice cream, smoothies, homemade ice cream cakes and pies - we say why wait until the warm weather returns to enjoy some of Handel's yummy treats? Baby, it might be getting cold outside, but Handel's is open year-round. Let us know your favorite flavor! Feel free to share your own favorite Hamilton County, Indiana dining spots!
