Every week this winter, we will highlight one of our Hamilton County, Indiana, restaurants. This week, writing this blog post was my excuse to go back to Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano in Noblesville, Indiana. Since it opened in 2003, Matteo’s has won numerous awards and has been recognized as one of the Top 50 restaurants in greater Indianapolis. Located right on the square in Historic Noblesville, Matteo’s is both homey and upscale. The warm pumpkin-colored walls and wood finishes make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. Knowing how big the entrées are, my husband and I split an Insalata Giotto, a spinach salad with salty pancetta, oranges and gorgonzola, instead of an appetizer. If you are feeling really hungry, we both recommend you create a “salumeria da matteo, a custom antipasto plate as well. I love the pasta dishes at Matteo’s and have a hard time choosing among them. For this trip, I had the mushroom ravioli while my husband had the Tagliatella Alla Tarantella – fettuccine with homemade chicken sausage, garlic, asparagus and tomatoes in a rich, white wine cream sauce. You can smell this delicious dish before it even reaches the table! Matteo’s recently added a new family style menu and recommends it for groups of 15 or more. The best part about eating family style at Matteo’s? You don’t have to worry about having enough. The food keeps coming until everyone is served. Matteo’s also has an extensive list of wines by the glass or by the bottle to compliment every dish and a terrific line-up of desserts.    Whether you are in a large group in the upstairs party room, having a dinner date, or taking the family for a fun night out, Matteo’s is a place where you will be welcomed like family and leave feeling satisfied and full. Make your reservations today.
