One of my favorite things about Indiana is that the seasons change. Leaves turn bright shades of orange, red and yellow in the fall; white snow covers the ground in the winter; and the grass turns a vibrant shade of green in the spring. While I love the changing seasons, I do miss the fun outdoor concerts, farmers markets, park visits of spring, summer and fall. So, when it gets too cold to do those fun outdoor activities- I eat! Every week this winter I will highlight one of my favorite Hamilton County, Indiana restaurants. As a foodie (my definition of foodie is simply someone who loves to eat), I will happily talk about the small diners, the hole in the wall eateries, the fancy French bistros, the big restaurants and more. NOW, onto the good stuff - enjoy, and feel free to share your own favorite Hamilton County, Indiana dining spots!
Restaurant of the Week Week 11 The Ruby Pear - Nestled in the heart of downtown Noblesville is The Ruby Pear. This sweet tea room is located in a restored Victorian era home, and is the perfect spot for girlfriends looking for a quiet little getaway. The atmosphere is fun, yet relaxing, and they have an impeccable wait staff. Their menu is not extensive, but they do offer a delicious array of scones, soups, salads, small sandwiches, cookies and tea. Sweet tea, hot tea, decaf tea, green tea - you name the tea, I bet they serve it (and in a cute little tea cup too). In the mood for a little after lunch shopping? Before heading home, take some time to stroll through their gift shop - the shop is filled with vintage jewelry, clothing, antique glassware, tea sets, and unique paintings. The Ruby Pear is open for lunch and tea - Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Private Tea Parties (perfect for baby or bridal showers) can be scheduled for other times as well.
