One of my favorite things about Indiana is that the seasons change. Leaves turn bright shades of orange, red and yellow in the fall; white snow covers the ground in the winter; and the grass turns a vibrant shade of green in the spring. While I love the changing seasons, I do miss the fun outdoor concerts, farmers markets, park visits of spring, summer and fall. So, when it gets too cold to do those fun outdoor activities- I eat! Every week this winter I will highlight one of my favorite Hamilton County, Indiana restaurants. As a foodie (my definition of foodie is simply someone who loves to eat), I will happily talk about the small diners, the hole in the wall eateries, the fancy French bistros, the big restaurants and more. NOW, onto the good stuff - enjoy, and feel free to share your own favorite Hamilton County, Indiana dining spots!

Restaurant of the Week Week 12 Woody's - Located in the center of the Carmel Arts & Design District is Woody's Library Restaurant - a locally-owned restaurant offering a wide variety of yummy American food. Everything from wings and chicken tenders to seafood and fine pasta dishes are offered on the vast menu. My personal favorite (for now, it changes frequently) is the Smoky Joe sandwich, which is smoked pulled pork, jalepeno bbq & pepper jack on a Parker House roll. Other Woody's favorites of mine include the chicken pot pie, the hamburger soup, and the lettuce wraps (served as an appetizer). Located in a restored Carnegie library, the atmosphere of Woody's is nice and relaxed. Books line the walls of the upstairs section of the restaurant and tables are tucked into comfy corners. If you need a little privacy, ask for the Carnegie Room - this table seats 8 and is in a room by itself. The downstairs of Woody's is the bar area - filled with barstools, tables and tv's (perfect for watching a game). When the weather is nice and the sun is shining, sit at one of their outside tables - the full menu is offered here as well.
