Guest blogger Alberta Egle is a member of our Visitor Services staff. When guests came from out-of-town, Alberta headed to downtown Noblesville for a fun day of shopping. Want a perfect ladies day out? Do what we did. My out-of-town friends came to my house for our monthly get-together, and we went to downtown Noblesville, Indiana to visit the local shops. We started with coffee at Noble Coffee and Tea at the corner of Logan and 9th Streets. Each of us had our favorite flavored coffee, but one of my friends had to have her cup of tea. After all, Noble Coffee and Tea has 100 different kinds of tea! Next, we crossed Logan Street to the opposite corner to browse through Old Picket Fence, a lovely antique shop. The owner has so many special things. The 12+ vendors at Old Picket Fence carry unique antique and vintage items, and that makes this an interesting place to explore. To complete our morning shopping, we went east on Logan Street to Logan Village Mall, where the girls found several items including jewelry and books. For lunch, we decided on Rosie's Place. Prices were reasonable, and the homemade chicken salad was delicious. At Rosie's you'll find a soup of the day, sandwiches and fresh salads. Several of the girls had salads, which were nice and fresh. Rosie’s has baked goods to die for, so you must have dessert! After lunch, we ventured into A Corner Cottage, located on the corner of 9th and Conner Streets. There we found more lovely items, jewelry, candle lights and the cutest pumpkin. They always have the store decorated so nice for each holiday. If you go downtown, you don't want to miss the Hamilton County Historical Society's Hamily County Museum of History and Old Sheriff's Residence and Jail. So much history! You can't go wrong if you plan a day out in downtown Noblesville. You will have a wonderful time. My friends said we have to do this again next time they come to visit.
