As we have previously mentioned, we have Visitor Centers in Carmel, Noblesville & Fishers. These centers are staffed by great Hamilton County and Central Indiana residents who offer advice, ideas, trip suggestions, directions, brochures and a broad knowledge base to those visiting Hamilton County, Indiana. We recently asked them what they would do as a Hamilton County visitor - over the next few weeks, I will be sharing their thoughts on the blog.  Enjoy!

From Visitors Center Employee, John S.: If I was to spend a fun-filled day in Hamilton County with an overnight stay, I would begin my day with a steaming hot cup of coffee at Noble Coffee and Tea Company on the east side of Noblesville's historic courthouse square. After a brisk walk around the Square, I would next drive out to Cool Creek Park in Carmel. The cool shade of Cool Creek's beautiful trees would totally enhance the nature-experience of hiking through the park, while absorbing the sights and sounds of the many birds and other wildlife, i.e. deer, squirrels, etc. A short drive from Cool Creek Park would find me at Strawtown Koteewi Park, where I would hike through the many acres of nature along the trails that follow the beautiful White River. After hiking, I would spend a few hours studying the outstanding exhibits of Native American Indian artifacts. Getting a bit hungry after my time at Koteewi, I would then enjoy a hardy lunch at the Jesse's Sports Grill in downtown Cicero, overlooking the beautiful Morse Lake. A short nap and respite back at my awesome room at the Renaissance Hotel in Carmel would be in order after several hours of hiking through the two parks. Later in early evening, I would take a driving tour through Coxhall Gardens - a very beautiful and peaceful park located in Carmel. The day would be topped off with dinner on the deck at Muldoon's in downtown Carmel, before returning to my hotel after a wonderful and very fulfilling day. Life is good !!
