Celebrate Earth Day 2025 in Hamilton County
Indiana is alive with plant life, animals, and dramatic glacial landscapes. You’d be hard-pressed to find beauty like it anywhere else—and that’s why Hoosiers are passionate about protecting our environment. Did you know Indiana has more native orchid species (over 40) than states like Hawaii? These often-overlooked beauties quietly thrive in various habitats across the state, from forests to wetlands. Indiana’s forests are also home to several endangered species, such as the Cerulean Warbler and the Pygmy Shrew.
Although we show love for our Mother Earth on a daily basis, we like to go the extra mile every Earth Day. This April, we invite those exploring Hamilton County to join in the celebrations and discover fantastic Earth Day events.
