CCA Gallery Celebrates 40 years!
CCA Gallery is inviting everyone to join us as we celebrate our 40th year as Indiana's Premier Artist's Cooperative. CCA Gallery will celebrate the entire month of September with a "Hall of Fame" featuring artwork of former Gallery members. We will highlight the month with a reception/reunion for former artist members, friends and family along with the public on Saturday, September 15th 1-4pm. A recognition ceremony will be at 2pm. Highlights include Elizabeth Kane, daughter of one of the Gallery founders, Anne Kane, along with Elaine Wolfe, one of our artist members of 38 years.
A little History about us. The Center for Creative Art (CCA) was started in 1978 by a group of artists in the Indianapolis Art League (the founding organization that is now the Indianapolis Art Center) who wanted to exhibit, promote and sell their work. The four original founding members were: Anne Kane; Liz Schneider; Tom Thomas; and Jean Uversaw. Their first location was in Broad Ripple where they were for 24 years. In June of 2002 they moved to the historic village of Zionsville and shortly after celebrated 25 years as Indiana's oldest cooperative Gallery. After 13 successful years, CCA moved to become part of the Arts and Design District of Carmel.
We are excited to be celebrating our 3rd year in the heart of Carmel where our 36 talented Indiana Artists sell wonderful paintings, photography, works of glass and wood, pottery, jewelry, textiles, furniture and even beautiful gourd art. CCA Gallery continues to attract collectors and buyers, as well as many seeking unique handmade gifts and keepsake treasures.
We look forward to celebrating our 40th Year with everyone here in the Arts and Design District
CCA Gallery is open 7 days a week: Sunday - Wednesday 11am-6pm; Thursday-Saturday 11am-8:30pm as well as extended hours for special events (Second Saturday Gallery Walks; Late Night on Main; and special district events).
