After earning a music degree from Indiana University, singer-songwriter Okara Imani began making a name on the Indianapolis open-mic circuit in 2018 and soon was performing at such venues as the Jazz Kitchen and Square Cat Vinyl. She was a featured artist at Indy Arts Council’s 2020 Art & Soul festival and also appeared on WFYI’s Small Studio Sessions.
