    Feathered Tales

For centuries, tales of birds and their songs have offered deep wisdom to cultures around the globe. Storyteller Sally Perkins will captivate your imagination and stir your soul as she weaves together ancient stories of a cunning owl, a brave parrot, a wise partridge and a foolish bird impersonator. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll sigh at the songs, stories and wisdom of our fine, feathered friends.

    About the Presenter
Sally Perkins performs stories of all sorts — historical, wisdom, personal and ghoulish – to audiences of all ages. She has performed for the National Storytelling Network, the Indianapolis Spirit & Place Festival, the Tennessee Haunting in the Hills Festival, the Crown Hill Cemetery Festival of Ghost Stories, the Indy Fringe Theatre Festival, and United Solo Theatre Festival off-Broadway. She has produced three albums of her work and has been commissioned by Storytelling Arts of Indiana, the Indiana Historical Society and Indiana Landmarks to create and perform a wide variety of historical stories, which she has performed throughout the state. When not performing, she is an Insight Data Storyteller for the tech firm Authenticx; conducts storytelling training for businesses and organizations; and teaches public speaking at Butler University. Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, she has taught rhetoric and public speaking for nearly 30 years. On her best days, you can find her telling stories at the bedsides of children at Riley Hospital for Children.
