As a way to celebrate the end of a month that commemorates all things Jackson Township, we’re putting on a parade and party! Local organizations will show off their historical floats, including a special float making its debut designed by Hamilton Heights Kiwanis school clubs. This float will be seen in other parades throughout 2023. At the end of the parade, head down the street to the Jackson Township Trustee’s office (506 W. Main St) for the after-party! Games, activities, and food for sale will be highlights of the event, along with historic displays. Next door to the Trustee office, the Student Activity Center will be open for visitors for more historic displays. The Jackson Township Fire Department will be showing off their Bicentennial grant-funded restored original fire engine as well as other equipment. Finally, bring your Bicentennial book (or purchase one there) and get it signed by the authors of some of the epilogue entries, Hamilton Heights Elementary students!
