As we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., please join us for activities, music, and discussion focusing on the 1950s and 1960s Civil Rights Movement and the social justice issues of today. Guests will hear speeches from prominent civil rights leaders/activists like John Lewis and Fannie Lou Hamer as well as participate in the music of the Civil Rights Movement and contemporary songs highlighting social justice. We will also have activities such as the "I have a dream" mural where guests can write their own rendition of Dr. King's 1963 famous speech and there will be screenings and speeches throughout the day in the Lilly Theatre. Local community groups - Indiana Youth Group, Damien Center, Voter Registration, Fishers Public Library, Indy Reads, Indy10BLM, 100 Black Men of Indianapolis Inc, IndySurj, Gleaner's Food Bank will in attendance. We will host food trucks in the Apple Store parking lot featuring minority-owned businesses.
