Noblesville Visitor's Center HCAA Featured Juried Artist Members Revolving Exhibit: Antonio Menendez
Each month, Hamilton County Artists' Association presents an exhibit featuring one of their juried members inside the Noblesville Visitors Center. For the month of September, the exhibit will showcase the artwork of Antonio Menendez.
From the Artist:
"From an eclectic approach I create paintings that exalt the diverse contours of life, representing the sublime of colorful things without overindulgence, and reconciling the inspirational interpretation with the source of its emanation.
I received formal education in drawing and painting at an early age in Spain and France. But only later in my life, I returned to painting, experimenting with different painting styles, including expressionism, cubism, and impressionism. At first, I copied the old masters, such as Monet and Degas. But later I developed a more eclectic approach, including abstract painting and representing contemporary social thought, such as post-structuralism and postmodernism. Since 2005 my work has been shown in individual and collective exhibits in Central Indiana."
