Nickel Plate Arts partner Meyer-Najem has transformed the second story of their beautiful new Fishers building into a bright, modern, open space, perfect for featuring the contemporary works of our local artists. With a passion for supporting the local arts community, Meyer-Najem will host art exhibits viewable to the public from 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. For the months of January - March of 2018, Indianapolis-based artist Megan Jefferson will be displaying a collection of her works in her solo show, “Reflections of a Place.” Megan is a painter and has been actively creating work ever since receiving her BFA from Miami University in 1998. She loves to create pieces that focus on color-based abstraction, and her current focus on landscapes evokes dreamy, thoughtful scenes. Megan says of her process: “I let the process define the artwork and describe my working process as a dance and conversation.” Nickel Plate Arts will host an Opening Reception for “Reflections of a Place” on Friday, February 23rd from 6-8pm, and the public is invited to come and enjoy light refreshments while perusing great art in this modern gallery space. Megan’s work will be viewable to the public Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm through the duration of the exhibit. Many of the works will be for sale.
