The community’s rapid growth and regular spots on best places lists are most evident in the Nickel Plate District, a designated Statewide Cultural District and the cultural heart of the city that’s home to the farmers’ market, community concerts and festivals. View a map of the Nickel Plate District.

Fishers District

Fishers' growth continues on the east side of I-69 in the new Fishers District, a dining and shopping destination. Stay on property at the Hyatt Place / Hyatt House Fishers. If you're hungry, visit Fishers Test Kitchen, a culinary launch pad for up-and-coming chefs in Central Indiana. More food options include 101 Beer Kitchen, HC Tavern + Kitchen, Rize Fishers and Sun King Fishers. Visit international furniture store IKEA, Topgolf and Portillo’s. Practice your golf swing, channel your inner interior decorator and take a bite of a classic Chicago hot dog here in Hamilton County.

Conner Prairie

For families, a trip to Fishers isn’t complete without wandering through Conner Prairie, an outdoor museum dedicated to telling the history of Indiana through personal exploration of the land. Ride the 1859 Balloon Voyage for a bird’s eye view of Fishers from 350 feet up in the air.

Each summer, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra hosts Kroger Symphony on the Prairie. From June to September, thousands of music fans come to hear soaring symphonies or pop-culture tribute bands beneath the stars. Don’t forget to pack a picnic and your dancing shoes.

Flat Fork Creek Park

Escape to a favorite Fishers park, Flat Fork Creek Park, for outdoor exploration. The signature wooden boardwalk loops around the park and makes for a picturesque photo. Go off the path to discover three tree houses tucked in the trees, or shred dirt on the mountain bike trails. In the winter, bring your sled to conquer the 60-foot sledding hill.
