My son and I journeyed to Koteewi Park and Taylor Center of Natural History today as part of a field trip. Little did we know just how much culture, history, and outdoor beauty and splendor we were going to encounter. Aside from the knowledgeable historians and park stewards there are many trails and things to discover on this historic piece of land that is in the elbow of the White River that stretches over 750 acres. There are over 700 year old formations to look at, canoeing (there is rentals for canoes), horses (rentals available), there is going to be a sky trail that will be opening soon and zip lines. Koteewi Park also affords visitors some archery where you can bring your own bow or rent one. This place is in a very small town but it is big on outdoor activities and is a great stop for those looking to learn and have fun.
