Grand Park to host Spikeball College Roundnet Championship
WESTFIELD, IND. — The 8th Annual Spikeball College Roundnet Championship will take place at Grand Park Sports Campus in Westfield, Indiana, May 24-25, 2025, showcasing the country’s top collegiate roundnet teams.
“Grand Park is the perfect stage for the Spikeball College Roundnet Championship,” said Spikeball Sports Marketing Manager Joelle Nguyen. “We’re excited for this year’s competition, showcasing both experienced schools and hungry newcomers battling it out for the top spot.”
Roundnet is a team sport where players bounce a ball off a net into the opposing team's court. Traditional roundnet games showcase two teams of two. The Spikeball College Roundnet Championship emphasizes team depth by having schools enter their top 10 players, divided into five different matchups:
- Open A v Open A
- Open B v Open B
- Open C v Open C
- Mixed v Mixed
- Women’s v Women’s
To secure the championship trophy, a school must win at least three out of the five matchups.
“The Hamilton County Sports Authority team is dedicated to supporting innovative events like the Spikeball College Roundnet Championship, which shines a national spotlight on the growing sport of roundnet,” said Hamilton County Sports Authority Director Carl Daniels. “We look forward to welcoming collegiate roundnet players from around the country to Hamilton County this May for a fun, fast-paced event.”
Leading up to the championship, participating teams compete in several local competitions, including two college sectionals. These Sectional events will allow schools to test their skills against nearby rivals, setting the stage for the championship weekend.
