The 2025 Indiana Miss Basketball hails from Hamilton County. Maya Makalusky of Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers was voted Miss Basketball by statewide media and high school basketball coaches.
Makalusky, who will play at Indiana University, averaged 22.1 and 6.8 rebounds per game while leading Hamilton Southeastern to a 27-1 record this season. She averaged 26.1 points as a junior and leaves her high school career with a school-record 1,933 career points. She was also voted the 2025 Gatorade Indiana Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
Hamilton Southeastern spent much of the 2024-25 season atop the rankings. Makalusky’s four years saw the team amass an 83-16 record.
Two of the top three vote-getters were from Hamilton County. Noblesville’s Meredith Tippner was third in the voting and will also be an Indiana All-Star before playing collegiately at the University of Miami in Florida.
Three of the last eight winners of Indiana Miss Basketball have come from Hamilton County: Makalusky, Sydnee Parrish (2020), and Amy Dilk (2018).
