Hamilton County remains a hub for basketball at all levels, from youth to the new Indiana Pacers G League arena coming online in Noblesville, the Arena at Innovation Mile. The Pacers Athletic Center hosts the Indiana Youth Basketball League, the largest organization in the state, among other clubs and events at Grand Park. Best Choice Fieldhouse in Fishers is a multi-court basketball and volleyball facility and Mojo Up Sports Complex in Noblesville has five full basketball courts among its turf surface sports kingdom.
New to the county’s portfolio is Pro Net Sports in Fishers, which opened in October. Pro Net is a 54,000-square-foot building right off the highway, configured for five basketball courts and eight volleyball courts. It hosts camps and training sessions, as well as full weekends supporting the Hoosier Basketball League and the Hamilton County Special Olympics.
“A lot of teams come here for our great location and we have great courts,” said owner and program director Matt Webster, who noted the college-level playing surfaces on each of Pro Net’s courts.
Webster says 400 teams came through the doors over the first couple months of the facility opening. That includes the Indy Hoops Academy and Hoosier Nets Volleyball organizations, in addition to the local Special Olympics and nearby schools that don’t have gyms. Webster donates gym time on Fridays and other timeslots when he’s able to help young players find a place to play.
“We try to help out the community,” Webster said.
In addition to its recreational leagues and personalized training programs, big events are beginning to fill the calendar at Pro Net Sports. Starting in March, the new building will host the spring and summer high school Adidas circuits for boys and Under Armour’s girls events.
