Growing partnership with USA Wrestling reinforces Hamilton County’s rise as a national sports destination
HAMILTON COUNTY, IND. – USA Wrestling has announced that the Community Health Network Grand Park Events Center in Westfield, Indiana, will continue to host USA Wrestling's Women’s National Duals through 2030, extending a partnership that began in 2024.
"Hosting the Women’s National Duals through 2030 is another tremendous vote of confidence in Hamilton County as a destination for national sporting events," said Carl Daniels, Hamilton County Sports Authority director. "This event has grown right alongside the sport itself, and it’s a powerful example of how our world-class venues and dedicated partners are putting Hamilton County on the map as a destination for premier national competition. We couldn’t be prouder to give these incredible athletes a stage worthy of their talent for years to come."
The 2026 Women’s National Duals at Grand Park generated an estimated $2.5 million in economic activity for Hamilton County, according to Destinations International’s Economic Impact Calculator. The success of this event emphasizes the community impact that accompanies the county’s growing roster of national sporting events.
USA Wrestling officials credited Grand Park's facilities and the local organizing effort for the event's continued expansion, noting that the Women's National Duals have grown substantially since Westfield began hosting the combined event in 2024.
“We were incredibly impressed by Hamilton County Sports Authority’s comprehensive proposal, the community's strong wrestling history and the exceptional history of the Indiana State Wrestling Association and HCSA,” said Christina Hargrove, senior manager ofnational events for USA Wrestling. “We look forward to returning to Grand Park to deliver an unforgettable experience for our athletes, coaches and spectators.”
The news comes as women’s wrestling continues to rise as one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Girls’ high school wrestling participation topped 74,000 athletes for the first time in the 2024-25 season, a 15% increase over the previous year, with nearly 1,000 additional schools adding programs, according to the National Federation of State High School Associations.
The Indiana State Wrestling Association and Hamilton County Sports Authority will continue to serve as the local organizing committee for the Women’s National Duals, with the 2027 event scheduled for June 16-19 at Droplight Grand Park.
