Visit Conner Prairie's Headless Horseman & Apple Store

Conner Prairie is a nationally acclaimed destination and outdoor museum that offers some of the most beloved fall activities in Hamilton County. Its annual Headless Horseman Festival celebrates thrills and chills and brings the famous Halloween story to life. This family-friendly festival runs every Thursday to Sunday during October 2-26, 2025 from 5-10 p.m. each night. Admission is free for members and $26 for non-members or pay $10 to enjoy a hayride. At the festival, enjoy a classic haunted wagon ride through the Conner Prairie grounds, spooky shows, an 11-acre corn maze, and a scarecrow-building contest. An evening stroll through parks in Hamilton County is a great way to take in the cool fall air and catch an unforgettable fall sunset to conclude your perfect fall adventure. Cool Creek Park has four miles of peaceful and wooded trails, while Central Park West Commons features 159 acres of scenic wetlands, prairies, and woods, with the Monon Trail running through the center of the park. Flat Fork Creek Park is home to a picturesque boardwalk that offers the perfect backdrop for family photos, as well as three kid-friendly treehouses.
