Nickel Plate Express

The Nickel Plate Express is a family-friendly train excursion in central Indiana, operating on 12 miles of track from Noblesville to northern Hamilton County and back. It boards in Forest Park, just five minutes from downtown Noblesville.

The train consists of 1950s Santa Fe Railway Hi-Level passenger cars. All passenger seating is located on the upper level and guests must climb a small set of stairs to board. The Nickel Plate Express operates train excursions year-round, including themed excursions. These include the brunch and dinner trains, Pumpkin Express, Ghost Express, Ales & Rails Express, Reindeer Ride Express and more.

 

Railbike Excursions

Experience the enchanting beauty of nature on a rail bike adventure. Rides vary in length, up to 7-miles round trip. Enjoy the White River Family Cruise, Twilight Rail Ride or the Forest Park Rail Adventure. These specially designed railbikes comfortably accommodate four riders each, allowing friends and family to enjoy the journey together. Participants pedal at their own pace, soaking in picturesque views of rural Indiana countryside and passing through quaint towns brimming with charm.
