Fall Family Fun and Year-Round Adventures in Westfield, Indiana
There’s just something about a crisp fall morning at Stuckey Farm Orchard and Cider Mill that makes you feel like a kid again. For more than 20 years, it’s been a favorite seasonal stop for our family — and it continues to deliver everything that makes autumn in Indiana so special. From apple picking and pumpkin patches to hayrides, cider slushies, and local treats, it’s a fall tradition that truly grows with you.
Getting There & Parking
Back to Top of ListStuckey Farm is easy to find, just on the edge of Westfield, on County Line Road. Upon arrival, friendly staff help guide cars into the gravel parking lot.
A few things to know before you go:
- There is handicap parking directly in front of the farm market, which is also the main entrance to all the fall festivities.
- The lot is uneven in places — typical for a working farm — so dropping off anyone with mobility challenges at the farm market door before parking is a good idea.
- The mornings are cooler and less crowded, offering a calmer experience for those who prefer a slower pace.
Inside the Farm Market
Back to Top of ListThe farm market is full of local charm — shelves lined with handmade jams, sauces, candles, and fall décor from Indiana makers. The scent of cinnamon and apples fills the air, and it’s almost impossible to leave empty-handed.
Old-fashioned bottle sodas are a favorite pick for a stroll around the farm. The apple-cider donuts (sold six to a box) are a must-try, and the apple-cider slushy is pure nostalgia — tasting just like a green apple sucker in frozen form. It’s one of those small joys that perfectly captures what fall tastes like in Indiana.
Tickets & Timing
Back to Top of ListOn busy weekends, a line often forms inside the farm market for ticket purchases. If anyone in your group finds waiting difficult, plan ahead and buy tickets online before you go. You’ll skip the line and save a few dollars.
During the fall season, Stuckey Farm hosts themed weekends like Pumpkin Pluckin’ Days, filled with pumpkins, apples, live music, and family-friendly activities. Details can be found here: Pumpkin Pluckin’ Days Info.
Fall Fun Around the Farm
Back to Top of ListBeyond the market, the farm opens up into a wide variety of outdoor attractions that celebrate the season. Visitors can explore:
- A wagon ride through the orchard and pumpkin patch — a peaceful way to take in the scenery and snap a few fall photos.
- A corn maze that’s just the right balance of challenge and fun. Tip: snap a photo of the map before heading in!
- An apple cannon that’s a crowd favorite for both kids and adults.
- The Pumpkin Pluckin’ area, where you’ll find pumpkins of every size, shape, and color waiting to go home.
One of our longtime favorites is the pirate ship — it’s been there as long as I can remember. Every child we’ve brought over the years has taken a picture on that ship, so this year we made sure to grab one of Brooke and Sofia for old times’ sake.
Around the farm, you’ll find several fun play structures that Stuckey has built over time, many of which are free and available year-round. There’s a giant wooden Jeep playground, large tractor tires where kids use every ounce of imagination, a combine slide, and even farm putt-putt golf.
And don’t miss the farm wagon train, where kids (and sometimes adults!) can ride in a horse, pig, goat, or chicken car pulled by a small tractor. My favorite part? The tractor cars are all handmade, which gives the whole ride that true family-farm feel. It takes me right back to being a kid in the early 1970s.
Picture-Perfect Moments
Back to Top of ListOne of the things we adored most was the number of photo spots around the farm — all thoughtfully curated and ready for visitors to enjoy. Take a few minutes to stop and grab photos at each backdrop; they’re designed for fun, families, and memories.
We loved looking back at our photos afterward — laughing about the playground and slides, and smiling at the shots from the themed backdrops. They made for some truly amazing social media moments to share with our online friends and family, and even better keepsakes for ourselves.
Accessibility & Sensory Notes
Back to Top of ListFor families with diverse needs or sensory sensitivities, a few helpful insights:
- The farm is mostly outdoors with gravel, grass, and dirt paths.
- The farm market has the most accessible restrooms; portable options are available in other areas.
- Crowds grow heavier after lunch on weekends, so arriving early creates a more relaxed experience.
- Expect rich sensory input — tractors, music, food aromas, and laughter. Noise-reducing headphones or quiet breaks near the picnic area can make the visit more comfortable.
Beyond Fall
Back to Top of ListStuckey Farm isn’t just a fall destination — it’s open year-round and transforms with the seasons. As December approaches, the farm becomes a holiday wonderland for its Santa Express.
Visitors can hop aboard a festive train ride through the decorated farm, complete with Christmas caroling, twinkling lights, and holiday music. There are U-Take photos with Santa (that means free!), and a Make-and-Take snowman craft that’s perfect for kids.
Don’t miss this little seasonal treat — it’s a cozy, small-town holiday experience that’s just right for families looking to make memories.
Buy your Santa Express tickets here — tickets are sold by the car ($70 per car, up to six guests), so don’t accidentally buy six cars!
If you’re looking for something simpler, Breakfast with Santa is another great option…because really, who doesn’t love food and Santa in the same place?
There’s a reason Stuckey Farm continues to be a staple for so many Indiana families. It blends nostalgia and newness, a place where kids can play, teens can laugh, and adults can slow down long enough to enjoy a cider slushy and a donut (or two or three).
Whether you’re there for apples, pumpkins, photo ops, or Santa himself, Stuckey Farm delivers all the cozy, family-friendly magic you could hope for, in every season.
