Wine & Rind | Carmel
Interview with manager: Madeline Gordon

What inspired you to start this business, and how does it reflect your cultural background or culinary passion?
Our owner’s, Chuck and Tom Lazzara, goal was to bring a little bit of Napa, Italy, Spain and France to the heart of Carmel.
What’s the can’t-miss item on your menu?
For lunch, our Cuban panini and for dinner, our mahi with orzo or salmon with Brussels slaw. Our Carmel charcuterie board is also great any time of day or to bring to any event!
What makes your business different from others?
We import our cheeses and meats from all over the world and search for local vendors to partner with to bring the best quality products to our guests. We truly put a lot of time and thought into how our charcuterie boards are designed and have multiple options to choose from.
How does community come together around food or drink? What does “Around the Table” mean to you?
Our restaurant was designed as a place to come and share fantastic food, wonderful wine, and conversation with friends and family. We are able to cater for any event or life milestone. One of our favorite things about hospitality is providing a memorable experience for our guests.
How does your business contribute to the overall culinary scene in Hamilton County?
We offer a menu with a variety of options to appease many palets. One of my favorite compliments is when people who are visiting from overseas say Wine & Rind reminds them of a cafe back home.
