Midland Trace Trail

The Midland Trace Trail is a rails-to-trails paved path that follows the former Central Indiana Railway corridor, known locally as “the Midland,” to link Westfield and Noblesville. Part of the HamCo Hubway, the trail covers about 7.5 miles in three sections and connects to the Monon Trail just west of Westfield Park Road in Westfield and to the Little Chicago Road Trail in Noblesville.

Pedal the Midland Trace Trail and you’ll roll past Quaker Park, home to Westfield’s only splash park; Grand Junction Plaza, a gathering space with an amphitheater, a café and an ice-skating rink in winter; and Simon Moon Park, with fishing ponds and an interactive smart playground. In downtown Westfield, hop off to stop for coffee, pizza, ice cream or a brew just steps from the trail. Heading east, the path winds through woodlands and open fields toward downtown Noblesville.

Parking and access points are available at Quaker Park, 17501 Dartown Road in Westfield, and at the Hazel Dell Road trailhead in Noblesville, which offers restrooms, a water fountain, benches and a bike repair station.
