We sat down with Sous Chef Danny Maffei to learn more about his top eats when you visit Topgolf Fishers.
Where are you from?
I grew up in Monticello, IN and worked at the Houston Topgolf before moving to Fishers to work at the new Topgolf that opened here in fall 2017.
Have you always liked to cook?
I have always had a passion for cooking. I’m passionate about making guests happy and fulfilling their appetites. Before Topgolf, I was Sous Chef at Mitchell’s Fish Market.
What does your job look like on a daily basis at Topgolf?
I do everything from ordering food, training kitchen associates, coaching and monitoring food quality.
What is the menu like at Topgolf?
We have core menu items that stay the same throughout the year, in addition to a small number of menu items that change seasonally.
What is your favorite thing to eat at Topgolf and why?
Backyard Wings because of the layer of flavors involved in the cooking process.
What do you suggest for kids to order?
Tempura battered chicken tenders with carrots.
What is the most popular item on the menu?
Chicken nachos.
Where else do you like to eat in Hamilton County and why?
Legit Pho in Fishers because it is a local family-owned food establishment.
Why do you think the food at Topgolf is so popular?
Our food is popular because Chef Seve and the rest of our corporate chef team do an amazing job creating and building our delicious menu. We serve brunch, lunch and dinner.
