Some may see the final destination as the highlight, but why not make the travel part of the adventure too? Instead of going to Morse Lake, make it interactive and include stops on the way to build up excitement. Luckily for you, the Midland Trace Trail has a variety of landmarks, restaurants and shops for you to visit.

To use the trail to get to Morse Lake, bike the Midland Trail east, then travel the trail north on Hague Road. Once you reach 196th Street, trail to Morse Park & Beach and lastly, go north on Levee Trail to Wolfies on Morse. Along this route, keep reading to discover what the trail has to offer!

The Midland Trace Trail is a 40-minute bike ride nonstop, running east and west to Westfield and Noblesville, passing through several bridges and parks.

Beginning at the Hazel Dell Road trailhead and heading toward Union Street on the trail, you’ll see Grand Junction Plaza. Along Restaurant Row, grab sushi at Chiba Indy, pizza and breadsticks at Greek's Pizzeria or a classic Italian meal at Italian House on Park. You could also level up your experience and taste all-American melting-pot classics at Nyla’s where they also have two cocktail bars. For a sweet treat, stop by Becky the Bakester for an artisan delectable.

You can also elevate your Thursday evenings by going to the Westfield Farmers Market from 5-8 p.m. May through September where you can buy fresh produce, handcrafted gods, boutique-style shopping and more. If you want to make something special, Something Splendid offers personalized gifting where you can build a gift box to send to your friends and loved ones.

There is lots to explore on the trail so plan the perfect route for an adults day out or a family-friendly day on the HamCo Hubway!
