There’s something charming and nostalgic about a classic town square in the heart of the Midwest. You can find one such place that’s one part hip and modern, one part historic – hence the nickname “hipstoric.”

The Historic Noblesville Square surrounds the iconic (and photo worthy) Hamilton County Courthouse, and it’s also located within the Noblesville Cultural Arts District, one of two state-designated arts districts in Hamilton County. This charming city square is a walkable downtown destination surrounded by antiques, boutiques and local dining.

Morning

- Kick-start your morning with breakfast or brunch at Rosie’s Place or Sunrise Café at Uptown. You can’t go wrong with a classic breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. Don’t leave Rosie’s without ogling at the bakery section and grabbing one (or two) ooey gooey butter cookies, their signature treat.

- Fuel up for your day of exploration with a warm or iced beverage at Noble Coffee and Tea. Try the best-seller Jamaican Me Crazy blend with caramel, vanilla and Kahlua for a taste of the island.

- The Noblesville Square is perhaps best known for its assortment of antique shops. If you’re serious about shopping to find that perfect treasure or just want to browse, spend at least a few hours wandering the Noblesville Antique Mall, Logan Village Mall, A Corner Cottage or Old Picket Fence.

- Pair your antique finds with some trendy clothes at local boutiques like The Wild Bohemian Boutique, Lil Bloomers, or Bash Boutique. Treat yourself and put together a head-to-toe ensemble.

Afternoon

- If all that shopping makes you hungry, there are no shortage of local restaurants within walking distance. Check out Asian Grill, Copper Still Kitchen & Bar or Courtney’s Kitchen – bonus points if you order a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich, a Hoosier classic.

- Downtown Noblesville is home to a flourishing arts community, as evident in the murals, alleyway activations and crosswalk art. Visit Caravan Classes for a hands-on art experience or Nickel Plate Arts, a thriving arts hub with in-house artists creating daily in their studios.

- Grab a pre-dinner pint at Barley Island Brewing Company, Hamilton County’s oldest brewery. Try the Dirty Helen, the flagship brew with moderate hop bitterness and a slightly nutty flavor to finish.
