This side of the park boasts over 3 miles of trails that go between prairies, wetlands and woodlands. Each step creates an opportunity to get exercise and connect with different parts of nature. There is a picnic grove with a couple of shelters with grills, picnic tables, and a latrine. For those who enjoy wheels with their recreation, there is a Skatepark with plenty of rails, pipes, and even bowls to grind on. For the dog lover, there is a 2-acre dog park on the north side of the park with picnic shelters and additional restroom facilities. Be sure to check out the west side of Central Park for a destination playground and splash pad. The Monon Community Center is just a few walking miles away.
